YEAR ROUND FUN ACTIVITIES AT LAKE TAHOE
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ALL YEAR ROUND
Lake Tahoe Area offers a large variety of outdoor activities - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
Spring is a beautiful time in Lake Tahoe. The snows from Winter have slowly melted, and the streams and creeks swell with flowing water. Sierra Wild Flowers of every color and type create a spectacular show of colors in meadows and forests of the Sierras, and new wildlife emerges from their winter hibernation. The rush of crowds has not started for the summer, and guests can enjoy leisurely, stress-free vacations. The colors of spring are vibrant with verdant green of new leaves and grass, pastels of every hue on flowers of the Sierras. There are many weddings at Incline Village during the spring and facilities book up a year in advance of the wedding dates. Spring is the time of the year when professional photographers converge on the area for some of those beautiful pictures that have become favorites of the public.
Summer in Lake Tahoe is the most popular time for vacationers. Most establishments in the North Lake Tahoe are booked months in advance of this prime time vacation season, which extends from June to September 20. Summer activities include playing at the beach, water play, water skiing, wake-boarding, parasailing, personal watercraft, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, hang gliding, hiking, technical rock climbing, mountain biking, bike touring, fishing, golf, tennis, camping, and fitness & spa activities. There is such a wide variety of activities from which to select. It all depends on what you want to do. The resources are here to help you choose the activities and plan your vacation in advance.
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year at Incline Village and North Lake Tahoe. Temperatures drop, and there is a crispness to the air. The leaves turn to the most beautiful crimson colors of red, gold, orange, brown, and blend with the evergreen forest. Life is slower, and there are fewer tourists, and the traffic is less congested, and life is quieter and more peaceful. You can watch the chipmunks and the rest of nature getting ready for the Winter, You can enjoy leisurely dinners together without waiting for a table, and you can take romantic walks along the beaches of Lake Tahoe or along the ridge trails of the Sierras. You can enjoy gaming at the local casinos, or just stay home and enjoy the amenities of the Tahoe Fun House.
Winter brings a new face to Lake Tahoe. Trees are laden with beautiful white fluffy snow and ice cycles. The evergreen trees are decorated by heavy snow blanketing their limbs, and the trees that lose their leaves in the fall are suddenly transformed into an intricate lace design of ice and snow, creating a magical landscape that delights your eyes.
